Watford's game in midweek was postponed due to a covid outbreak at the club. They remain 17th in the table and hopefully will be able to host Crystal Palace who are 11th. The Hornets are two points clear of the bottom three at the time of writing this preview. They will be desperate to get something from this game, having lost their last four league matches. Claudio Ranieri has only been at the club for a short time, but more losses and his trigger-happy bosses might look for yet another manager. Only Norwich City have a worse home Premier League record than Watford. They have won two games though with victories over Aston Villa and Manchester United. There have been 27 goals scored n their eight home league games this season, with five of them having over 2.5 goals scored in them, including the last three.
Crystal Palace are seven points clear of Watford but from one game more. Wednesday saw them draw 2-2 at home with Southampton, making it four points from their last two games. Both were played at home and their away form isn't so hot. Palace have only had one away league win this season, though it was at Manchester City. Since that shock victory, they have only earned one point from the three away games that have followed, losing the last two and without scoring. Five of their eight away league fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals scored in them. A bet on that stat coming up in this game is the suggested wager.
