Second placed Liverpool travel to Tottenham who are seventh in the Premier League table and 15 points behind them. Liverpool are yet to win a Premier League game in London this season, having lost to West Ham and drawing with Brentford. They start the weekend a point behind leaders Manchester City but that will be four if City get a win over Newcastle earlier in the day. That's just what Liverpool did when beating Newcastle 3-1 at home after going behind early on. The Reds have won eight league and cup games in a row since that loss at West Ham. 12 of their last 15 away Premier League games have been won. They will be missing some players due to the ongoing pandemic and that list is expected to include Virgil van Dyk.
Tottenham haven't played since beating Norwich City on December 5. They are four points behind fourth placed Arsenal but with three games in hand. The Gunners play at Leeds on Saturday so that'll make it four games played less. With the Europa Conference League game against Rennes still to take place, Tottenham are in danger of a fixture pile-up in the new year. They also have players on the sideline due to Covid-19 and it's an idea to delay putting a bet on this game until the teams are announced. Tottenham are unbeaten in their last four league games and won the last three since Conte took over. Those three games have all been at home but Liverpool will be a far tougher opponent than Leeds, Brentford and Norwich. Back Liverpool to get an away win here.
