Betting on the MLS is always an exciting opportunity - between the regular season, the playoffs and the MLS Cup final, there's plenty of action due to take place over the course of the season.
Major League Soccer (MLS) sees teams from both America and Canada (mainly America) battling it out in two conferences and then the MLS Cup playoffs. The 2025 season will see 30 clubs taking part, 15 in the Eastern Conference and 15 in the Western Conference, with the top nine teams in each conference earning a spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs. It was 29 last season but to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the league, there is a new team in action, San Diego FC. The defending MLS Cup champions are the LA Galaxy who beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1 in the final.
Inter Miami finished the regular season as the highest-scoring team in the league with 79 goals in 34 matches. The best team defensively were the Seattle Sounders who conceded just 35 times. Inter Miami were also the highest-scoring team in terms of points while the San Jose Earthquakes propped up the entire league with just three wins and 21 points in total.
This season will see a large midseason break while the FIFA Club World Cup is played in the United States in June with 32 teams including Manchester City and Chelsea lining up over the course of the month-long tournament.

MLS: Our free prediction for the 2025 Season
The brand-new MLS season is underway. This time of the season has all teams dreaming of glory come December. Inter Miami are the early favourites with the bookmakers, a team with serious strength in depth. They are clearly a team that is going to be there at the business end of the season but there is not a lot of value to be had. We will take one team from both the East and the West to try and keep our options open in the early stages of the season.
It is Atlanta United who have caught the eye in the East. They have bought in Emmanuel Latte Lath for a league record fee as well as seeing Miguel Almiron coming back to the side. That is going to make them into one of the most exciting attacking teams in the league. They were the team who knocked out Inter Miami in the playoffs last season before they exited at the hands of Orlando.
In the West, we like the look of the Seattle Sounders. They were exceptional at the back last season, no team conceding fewer goals than them. That was enough to carry them all the way to the conference final last season when they were knocked out by the eventual champions, the LA Galaxy. The addition of Jesus Ferreira to their forward line is going to make them more dangerous at that end to add to their strong defence.
