The Premier League title race is beginning to become a three-horse race between Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. Chelsea ended the weekend in third place and host struggling Everton who are in 14th. The Blues beat Leeds 3-2 at home on Saturday and are a point behind second placed Liverpool and two adrift of leaders Manchester City. Chelsea had only won one of their last four games before the win at the weekend. The fixtures come thick and fast from now on but Chelsea don't meet any of the top sides until January 2, when hosting Liverpool. Home league form this season has already produced five wins and only Manchester City have beaten them.
Everton made a bright start to the season but have slumped since. Injuries have hit them hard and the weekend saw them lose away at Crystal Palace 3-1, their eighth league loss of the season. They are still seven points above the bottom three but ten off the top four. The last ten Premier League games have produced just five points, the only win a 2-1 home victory over Arsenal. Seven of the last nine have been lost in the Premier League and Rafa Benitiez could well be out of a job soon unless the situation improves dramatically. The last four away Premier League games have all been lost, with just one point from the last six. Back Chelsea to add to their misery and be ahead at both half and full time.
