Atalanta v Roma Betting Tips [18 December 2021]

Third placed Atalanta bid to make it seven Serie A wins in a row. They host AS Roma who are in sixth place but nine points behind their opponents. Atalanta are in top form, though still getting over their surprise Champions League exit. They may well be a team to back to win the Europa League. Atalanta are on a great run in Serie A though and a form guide for the last ten matches has them three points clear at the top. Overall, they are third and only three points adrift of league leaders Inter and second placed AC Milan. It's not been easy in their last two league games though, having to come from behind to beat Napoli and Verona. Home form has seen them unbeaten in their last four Serie A games with nine goals scored in the last two. They have scored at least twice in five of the last six home league games but only kept one clean sheet.

AS Roma made it into the last 16 of the Europa Conference League but have had some recent struggles in Serie A. They lost to Bologna and Inter but got back in winning ways with a home win over struggling Spezia who have lost four of their last five league games. Roma are eight points behind fourth place so need to go on a good run if wanting Champions League football next season. They need to improve their away form with five of the last seven lost in Serie A. The other two games produced victories at Cagliari and Genoa who are currently both in the relegation zone.
